REVERTER hosts meeting with Riga residents to discuss apartment building renovation

On April 21, 2025, a meeting organized by the REVERTER project was held with residents at the Circular Economy Hub “Sadarbnīca” in Riga to discuss practical issues related to the renovation of multi-apartment buildings.

Building renovation is an effective way to improve quality of life and reduce levels of energy poverty, thereby lowering the risk of unexpected expenses overall.
The event had an informal format, based on open discussion among participants and experts from the Riga Energy Efficiency Information Centre (REIC).

Valters Muzikants, an expert from the Riga Energy Efficiency Information Centre (One-Stop-Shop in Riga), commented:

“The response was overwhelming – far more people showed up than initially expected. It’s great to see that so many residents of apartment buildings are eager to renovate their homes! There was interest not only in the renovation process and its specifics but also in the conditions of available support – we answered everything. It was encouraging that attendees listened attentively and engaged in group discussions about how to organize the renovation process and collaborate with other apartment owners in the building. Since these issues are extremely relevant and important for anyone preparing to undertake the lengthy building renovation process, REIC is currently preparing short video answers that will be available on our YouTube channel.”
